CORDA raises funds to support high quality clinical research into the prevention of heart disease and stroke through non-invasive techniques. We also work to raise awareness of these illnesses.
Our trustees focus on reducing premature death and disability caused by heart disease and stroke by funding high quality, clinical research into the development of safe and painless, non-invasive methods for the early diagnosis of the disease.
The funds raised by the charity have supported research projects at several centres of excellence in the UK since the charity was set up. The charity has particularly strong links with Royal Brompton Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, both of which it has provided support to for a number of years.

CORDA also aims to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. For example, we sponsor the annual Lord Rayner Memorial Lecture at the Royal College of Physicians and support a prize in a poster competition at the annual Hounsfield Memorial Lecture at Imperial College Imaging Sciences Centre.
