Remember CORDA In Your Will
CORDA's research into preventing heart disease and stroke relies very heavily on legacy gifts, which make up an important part of our income.
If you already have a will but would now like to leave a legacy to CORDA, you can do this by making a simple addition, called a codicil. This can be done by including new instructions and taking out old ones without having to revoke the whole will.
If you have not already made a will you may need to consult a solicitor. Although the solicitor will charge you a fee, you will receive professional advice and be sure your wishes are achieved.
There are two ways to leave a legacy, by either a pecuniary gift (a fixed amount of money) or by a residuary gift (a share, or the whole, of what is left in your estate after you have provided for your family and loved ones).
If you have already left a legacy to CORDA in your will, thank you very much.
If you do plan to make a donation it would be greatly appreciated if you could let us know, as it helps us plan for the future with greater confidence. It also means that we can thank you again for your wonderful support and let you have any additional information or help you might need.
